Empowering Farmers Through Technology

Solar Food Dehydration

From food spoilage to food security.

Having identified the need to advance prospects of the Kenyan farming communities, we recently ventured into the fabrication of solar food dehydrators, tapping into the expertise of local artisans and engineers.

The availability of this technology locally has helped improve farmer earnings. Smallholder farmers can now engage in food processing activities that add value to produce that was once subject to food spoilage due to inadequate post-harvest storage mechanisms.

At Africa Natural Products Ltd, we are geared towards the realisation of Kenya’s industrialisation and food security agenda, which can only be achieved by stimulating the growth of small and medium enterprises.

Kenya's Food Security Agenda

Supporting national industrialisation goals.

At Africa Natural Products Ltd, we are aligned with Kenya’s industrialisation and food security agenda. By providing accessible solar dehydration technology to smallholder farmers, we reduce post-harvest losses, create value-added income streams, and support the growth of the rural SME ecosystem.

Our approach to post-harvest technology development bridges the gap between subsistence farming and commercial food processing — enabling communities to participate meaningfully in modern food supply chains.
